This assessment tool tests Theory of mind (ToM), a system of social cognitive skills that helps people understand what others desire, feel, think and believe, of children. ToM is essential for taking perspective and making predictions about the behaviors of others. With ToM, an individual can adjust one’s own behaviors.

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2) is an activity-based assessment administered by trained clinicians to evaluate communication skills, social interaction, and imaginative use of materials in individuals who are suspected to have autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The BASC-3 assessment starts with universally screening groups of children. Each additional component can be conducted individually for comprehensive evaluations, plan and deliver effective interventions, and monitor progress all within one flexible, integrated system. Through analyzing the child’s behavior from three perspectives - the child himself, the teacher, and the parent using a comprehensive set of rating scales and forms, the behaviors and emotions of children and adolescents can be understood better.

The Hong Kong Behaviour Checklist of Specific Learning Difficulties in Reading and Writing for Junior Secondary School Students (BCL-JS) is designed for screnning whether students may be at risk of Chinese reading and writing learning difficulties. Chinese reading literacy, Chinese dicataion and Chinese writing ability are included in the test, Early intervention can be provided to the at risk students after screening.
